  5. NOTE:
  6.   The full manual and online help system is contained in the file 
  7.   DUMP_IT.HYP, which is an ST-Guide format hypertext. You need a copy 
  8.   of ST-Guide in order to read it, or access Dump-It!'s online help 
  9.   system. You should be able to get a copy from most Atari public 
  10.   domain libraries, bulletin boards and ftp sites.

  17.   This is the second Dump-It! release, and it's a major upgrade from 
  18.   the first release, which was only a small little utility for loading 
  19.   and transmitting SYX files. Dump-It! is now a much more useful 
  20.   utility with a much wider feature list.

  29.   Note: when running this version in ST medium res, there are a few 
  30.   display bugs and the program looks a bit messy. I haven't yet 
  31.   decided to put the effort in properly supporting the med res mode 
  32.   (and therefore people without mono ST monitors). Unless I get some 
  33.   people saying "I need med res support" I'll probably remove it (the 
  34.   program is much nicer in resolutions of 600x400 or greater, as is 
  35.   most decent ST software).

  39. What is Dump-It?
  40.  
  41.   This program is a useful tool for anyone using their computer to
  42.   interface with other MIDI equipment, such as synthesisers, drum
  43.   machines, effects units and samplers.
  44.  
  45.   It lets you receive the memory contents of most MIDI devices, and 
  46.   you can then save this data to disk, to be loaded and retransmitted
  47.   back to the device later.

  49.   You can also define 'requests' for various devices, so that the
  50.   program can ask devices to send their memory contents to Dump-It!
  51.   without you having to initiate a bulk dump manually.

  53.   You can use and create the raw sysex data files containing
  54.   synthesiser patches and other data that are frequently found on the
  55.   internet and other such places.

  70.      freely load/save groups of these requests to build up a

  72.    ∙ Byte delay for older devices that don't like faster sysex

  75.    ∙ Analyse data function, including automatic removal of stray
  76.      active sensing and other unwanted bytes and checksum
